Dyslexia Ghana is a non-profit organisation supporting and working with children and adults with Dyslexia/ Dyscalculia/ Dyspraxia/ Dysgraphia.
Our aim is to support everyone to reach their potential best.
We work in conjunction with mainstream schools supporting struggling children with their schoolwork. Working one on one with children using the Davis Method, we successfully bring together learners of different learning styles, giving them a knowledge based on Symbols & Concepts Mastery. As a foundation to the general curriculum, we introduce them to the Davis Program to use simple mental tools like Relax, Focus, setting of mental Dials to control and monitor their energy levels and ‘Koosh Balls’ for learning balance. This helps them to participate fully in life and their academic work.
We offer a range of services in Dyslexia Screening, Diagnostic Dyslexia Assessments, Teacher Training, Coaching, Specialist Tuition, Resources, and Awareness.
Possibility ten percent (10%) of the Ghanaian population is dyslexic; 4% maybe severely so. Many of the people with dyslexia across Ghana / Africa, adults, or children, maybe unable to fulfil their potential as a large percentage of the population still do not understand what dyslexia is, the difficulties which the condition presents and do not know how best to support them.
Dyslexia Ghana was set up by a Dyslexic for Neurodivergents who, like herself, think differently.
